STOCKTON – On September 6, 2024, Stockton Police officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Paragon Avenue. Upon conducting a search of the residence, officers located three handguns, five rifles, various calibers of ammunition, and two small alligators.
California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) responded to take custody of the alligators. Darell Kho, 34, was arrested for various weapon charges.
“Thank you to California Department of Fish and Wildlife officers for assisting local law enforcement officers with some of their unusual discoveries when serving search warrants. CDFW officers are trained to handle these situations, are extremely knowledgeable about laws that pertain to fish and wildlife and can be sure that alligators are taken care of properly,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona.
