WEAVERVILLE – On October 25, 2024, investigators with the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office and wardens with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) served a search warrant at a residence located on Angel Hill Road in Weaverville.
Several subjects were detained. During the search of the residence 104.4 grams of Cocaine, packaging materials, digital scales, pay and owe sheets, bundles of US Currency totaling $24,766 and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were located and seized.
Dangerous, unpermitted electrical wiring was found throughout the residence and property, which prompted notification to the local utility company and response from the county building inspector and fire chief.
During the investigation, it was found that a 13-year-old child was living at the residence, but was away at school. Child welfare service workers were notified and responded to the scene.
The owner of the residence, Coy Mobley, 52, a convicted felon, was placed under arrest and transported to the Trinity County Correctional Facility for booking.
