ARCADIA – On January 10-11, 2025, detectives from the California Department of Insurance provided mutual aid assistance for the Eaton Fire. The detectives, who work at the Inland Empire Regional Office, were tasked with saturation patrol and burglary suppression in Arcadia. Detectives also provided outreach to the community, conducted traffic stops, pedestrian checks and assisted with providing security at a donation center at the Santa Anita Race Park. CDI Detectives assisted until the California National Guard arrived on scene.
“We are extremely proud of, and thankful for, all our CSLEA members who have been called upon to assist with emergency response and public safety and protection in the Los Angeles region during these devastating and deadly fires,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona. “Many of our members are working away from home, and very long days and nights, to assist with these disasters. Thank you to each and every one of them. And thank you, CACI director James Potts for bringing this mutual aid response by CDI detectives to our attention so that we can highlight this important response and assistance.”
