RIVERSIDE – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA), along with the CHP Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA), extends a very warm welcome to 13 dispatchers who are currently training at the Ben Clark Training Center in Riverside and recently signed up for union membership.
CHP-PSDA Director David Arriola and CSLEA Senior Counsel Kja Harper-Gopaul conducted a new employee orientation for the dispatchers on January 15, 2024.
Arriola provided lunch courtesy of CHP-PSDA and spoke to the dispatchers about the jobs they are training for as well as the benefits and services obtained through CSLEA membership.
“It was a pleasure to meet our newest members as they train for their very important first responder jobs as CHP dispatchers,” said Harper-Gopaul. “These public safety professionals are vital to emergency response. We know their training can be intense and want them to know we stand ready to assist them as their union leaders and representatives.”
The dispatchers are assigned to communications centers throughout California.
