Recognized for 25 years of State service

YOUNTVILLE – On February 27, 2025, California State Firefighter/Security Officer Gilbert Elayda was honored with a Certificate of Recognition for 25 years of dedicated service, along with a commemorative California State wristwatch.
Firefighter/Security Officer Elayda began his public service career in 1991 as an Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Nursing Assistant. He later transferred into the role of Firefighter/Security Officer. His work has been instrumental in protecting veterans and State employees at the Yountville Veterans Home, as well as the surrounding community.
Officer Elayda expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his wife, Maribel Elayda, as well his three children and granddaughter, for their support thought out his career.
The entire team at Calvet Yountville extended their congratulations and appreciation to Elayda for his unwavering dedication to serving those who served our nation.
