SACRAMENTO – On March 3, 2025, the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) announced the results of work conducted by its Law Enforcement Division (LED) during the last week of February. DCC took action against illegal dispensaries and cultivation sites across Orange, Los Angeles, and Alameda Counties. The enforcement efforts removed unregulated products from the market, disrupted illegal operations, and protected public safety.
Enforcement Highlights:
Mission Viejo (Feb. 25) – A search warrant targeting an unlicensed dispensary led to:
- 54 lbs of cannabis flower
- 17 lbs of cannabis concentrates
- 80 lbs of vape cartridges
- 65 lbs of edibles
- Estimated retail value: $341K
- 4.8 lbs of illicit Psilocybin seized
- Structure was red-tagged near a school
Los Angeles County (Feb. 26-27) – Six unlicensed dispensaries were shut down, resulting in:
- 112 lbs of cannabis flower
- 81 lbs of cannabis concentrates
- 49 lbs of vape cartridges
- 15 lbs of edibles
- Estimated retail value: $704K
- $7,248 in cash seized
- One firearm recovered
Alameda County (Feb. 27) – A search warrant targeted an illegal indoor grow and associated residence:
- 210 lbs of cannabis flower
- 2,698 cannabis plants
- Estimated retail value: $2.5M
- Three firearms seized (including two assault rifles)
- $900 in cash seized
- Cultivation site red-tagged
