Board Issues Guidance Regarding CalHR’s Request for Side Letter
At the regularly scheduled quarterly Board of Directors Meeting in Sacramento Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the CSLEA Negotiations Committee briefed the Board in Executive Session on the conceptual discussions with CalHR on a possible side letter to address the pay concessions specified in the Governor’s May Revise. On Friday, June 13th, the Legislature adopted a draft budget which preserved the scheduled General Salary Increases effective July 1, 2025, for Unit 7 and a number of other bargaining units. Neither the draft budget nor the authorization for pay increases has been signed off by the Administration.
After the discussion in Executive Session, the Board of Directors furnished direction to the Negotiations Team as to CSLEA’s position on the concessions being sought. Specifics of the Board action will be made available to the membership on Monday.
