PATTON – On July 17, 2025, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Supervising Legal Counsel David De La Riva and Patton State Hospital Police Officer/CSLEA Site Representative David Arroyo met with newly hired Hospital Police Officer staff during Patton’s New Employee Orientation session. During the orientation meeting, officers were briefed on the benefits of CSLEA membership including legal representation for incidents occurring within the course of their duties as well as a $15,000.00 basic life insurance benefit for the beneficiaries of CSLEA dues-paying members. The officers in attendance will soon be attending training at the Department of State Hospitals’ Police Academy in San Luis Obispo. After the completion of their training, all officers will then be re-assigned to field training at their respective facilities.
