RENO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) expresses its extreme gratitude to the CSLEA members who took time away from their jobs and families to attend the CSLEA General Membership Conference held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada October 24th and 25th.

“What an amazing representation we had,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We had CCC conservationists with us, California DOJ criminalists and special agents, California ABC agents, CHP public safety dispatchers, DCC and DCA investigators, OES personnel, CALFIRE communications operators, DMV investigators and licensing registration examiners, special investigators from various departments, the list goes on, and we thank everyone for their involvement”

“I want to personally acknowledge the work that CSLEA Senior Vice President Tina Brazil did to make this conference happen, so that we could all come together as CSLEA members,” said BJ Jones, president of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Services (FMESA) and CSLEA director. “It is great that people from so many of the job classifications that CSLEA represents were able to come together in one place. Thank you, Tina.”

“The effort put in to make this conference happen was one hundred percent worth it,” said Senior V.P. Brazil. “We have the greatest members and we work hard to represent them. Thank you all for attending. It was great seeing you.”

“There was so much union pride at this conference and a lot of wonderful people in attendance,” said CSLEA Communications Director Teri Cox. “It’s our hope that those in attendance will share that pride with our entire membership. We had a flyer in their welcome packets that makes it easy for them, and any CSLEA member, to share with us, why their union membership is so important and what their union has done to improve their lives. Thank you to all who attended the conference, I enjoyed talking with you and seeing your smiling faces!”

“Thank you to everyone for attending this year’s conference,” said CSLEA Membership Coordinator Rainie Brazil. “It is always an excellent opportunity for our staff to meet our members face-to-face, make connections, and build stronger relationships.”

“Thank you for participating in this year’s conference,” said CSLEA Legal Secretary Sherri Elrod. “It was so nice finally getting to meet each one of you in person. I hope you made some great connections and walked away knowing your union appreciates you and your contributions to public safety.”
