SACRAMENTO – On November 24, 2025, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Senior Counsel Ryan Navarre conducted a new employee orientation for eleven new Licensing Registration Examiners (LREs) who will begin their work at California DMV offices throughout the state.
Navarre introduced CSLEA to the new employees and discussed the benefits and services associated with CSLEA membership.
“There’s a lot to learn as a state employee and as a licensing registration examiner,” said Navarre. “I enjoyed talking to them about their jobs, their rights and how belonging to their union can provide job protection. Their jobs are specialized in that they are providing a public safety service by giving driving tests to the motoring public. It can be a stressful job and unfortunately things can go wrong while testing the skills of drivers young and old. CSLEA and our affiliate association COLRE, are very accessible to union members and are proud to represent licensing registration examiners.”
