REDDING – On January 8, 2026, California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) agents and officers from the Redding Police Department Neighborhood Police Unit arrested three Redding residents following an investigation into methamphetamine sales occurring at a local 7-Eleven store on Eureka Way in Redding.
Redding Police officers developed information indicating that two store employees were actively selling large quantities of methamphetamine while on the job, with narcotics concealed within the business. Because the store is a licensed Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) establishment, ABC agents responded to assist with the investigation.
During the operation, the primary suspect, Crissy Bruce, 40, was observed leaving the location in a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained five occupants, including the driver, Daniel Keiser, 32 and Bruce. A Redding Police Department K9 unit conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed approximately 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine.
Redding Police officers then responded back to the 7-Eleven store and contacted store clerk Thomas Boot, 43. Boot was found to be in possession of approximately one ounce of methamphetamine on his person. A search of the store, conducted pursuant to its ABC license, resulted in the discovery of approximately 1/2 pound of methamphetamine concealed inside a bathroom, along with a functional scale and packaging material.
Bruce, Keiser, and Boot were arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on drug-related charges for the possession/transportation of a controlled substance for sale and conspiracy.
“Great work by Redding Police, assisted by California ABC, to rid our communities of illegal activity including the sale of methamphetamine. Our communities are safer because of these types of investigations, and are aided by tips from the community. We all have a part in public safety,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona.
