The California Department of Justice assisted in this operation and the investigation
“Conducting a decoy operation like this is a proactive approach to shutting down those who think it is okay to sex traffic human beings. Sex trafficking has devastating and lasting impacts on victims and creates public safety issues in neighborhoods.”

STANISLAUS COUNTY – On January 28, 2026, Stanislaus County District Attorney Jeff Laugero announced that Adrian Wilson, 27, of Los Angeles, was convicted by jury of two counts of attempted human trafficking. Under California law, Wilson faces seven years and six months in prison at sentencing.
According to the district attorney, Wilson is a self-described human trafficker. At trial, evidence showed that Wilson has a “p” tattooed on his face to represent the word ‘pimp’ and used the nickname ‘Yimp-God’ (‘imp’ is slang for ‘pimp’).
In 2023, Wilson contacted two individuals and attempted to get them to enter the sex trade under his control and supervision for profit. Wilson was unaware that these individuals were undercover law enforcement decoys working a statewide human trafficking sting operation. During multiple communications with the decoys, Wilson arranged for them to be sent to Las Vegas and enter the sex trade on his behalf. After multiple communications, the decoys agreed to meet Wilson in person. Wilson was apprehended when he arrived at the meeting location.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crime as participants in a statewide sting and apprehended Wilson. Additionally, the California Department of Justice assisted in this operation and the investigation into Wilson. Deputy District Attorney Harshan Samra prosecuted this case on behalf of the People.
