SACRAMENTO– On April 22, 0266, representatives from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the Association of Conservationist Employees (ACE) met with 13 California Conservation Corps (CCC) conservationists to introduce the new employees to their union and answer any questions they might have about union benefits and services.
In attendance from CSLEA were Senior Counsel Andrea Perez, and Member Services Representatives Marco Castro and Victor Tovar. In attendance from ACE was ACE President Bryant Slade.
In addition to introducing themselves, CSLEA and ACE representatives discussed the union’s role in negotiating contracts, the need for union representation and legal defense, and the benefits and services offered to CSLEA members.
All 13 conservationists recognized the value of becoming a union member and signed up to join CSLEA and ACE.
“I very much appreciated the time and attention of our conservationists in attendance,” said Senior Counsel Andrea Perez. “It is always a pleasure to meet our newest members in attendance and let them know how accessible we are to answer even the smallest of questions or to address major concerns or incidents. We welcome them to CSLEA and ACE and stand ready to assist them in their careers as CCC conservationists.”
