YUBA CITY -On July 26, 2026, at approximately 10:54 p.m., officers with the Yuba City Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire and a physical altercation in the area of the 7-Eleven convenience store located in the 900 block of Market Street.
Responding officers located a 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately rendered aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Officers also located a second victim, a 21-year-old male, who had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A third victim, a 19-year-old male, later arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hand.
The California Department of Justice responded to assist the Yuba City Police Department with crime scene processing. The preliminary investigation indicates an altercation occurred outside the business before multiple shots were fired.
The Yuba City Police Department’s Investigations Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and is actively working to identify those responsible. At this time, no arrests have been made.
