SAN RAFAEL – On April 17, 2017, the San Rafael Police Department announced that its officers recently teamed with California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) agents for an operation targeting drug use in and around the San Rafael Transit Center and at a local liquor establishment.
“When police start receiving complaints about drug use, the sale of drugs, disorderly conduct, and needles in one particular area, they can call on ABC to assist them with undercover investigations if needed,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona.
As a result of the operation – ABC Agents and San Rafael Police arrested:
- A 15-year-old male resident of San Rafael for resisting arrest and selling marijuana to an undercover officer at the Transit Center.
- Nelson Calderon Rachac, 26, of San Rafael for selling cocaine to an undercover officer at a local liquor establishment.
- Saul Naal Bartolo May, 33, of San Rafael, for selling cocaine to an undercover officer at a local liquor establishment.
- Jesse Rodriguez Rojas, 21, of San Rafael, for selling cocaine to an undercover officer at a local liquor establishment.
