ESCALON – On August 2, 2019, an Escalon police officer arrested Leslie Parsons, 31, of Escalon for driving without a valid license, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance for sale and displaying false tags on his license plate. During a search of his vehicle a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine, along with two baggies that contained suspected methamphetamine were located.
Escalon police then obtained a search warrant for Parsons home and on August 3rd, with assistance from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department and California Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) served the search warrant on the property. They located five individuals at the scene, two of whom were arrested.
Michael Kirk, 30, of Oakdale was arrested for possession of control substances and felon in possession of mace. Daniel Morgan, 33, of Carmichael was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, control substance without a prescription, and possession of a billy club.
During the search, a small amount of heroin was located, along with approx. 10 ounces of marijuana, and additional evidence to indicate the sales of methamphetamine was taking place at the location.
Over the last several months, Escalon police received complaints of possible narcotic sales taking place at this location, along with the manufacturing of illegal alcoholic beverages. This location was also the focus of several theft related calls for service within the last week.
