LONG BEACH– On February 1, 2021, California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) agents posted a Notice of Revocation at Taco Beach, a restaurant located on Pine Avenue in Long Beach.
The business is prohibited from serving, selling and allowing consumption of alcohol immediately. The revocation was posted after ABC found ongoing disorderly operation of the business as defined by California Business and Professions Code section 25601.
From March 11, 2017 through July 11, 2019, the Long Beach Police Department responded to the business numerous times for incidents involving battery, sexual battery, noise violations, and attempted homicide. Employees also delayed and obstructed the police department’s investigation.
“Not only should those who hold ABC liquor licenses be good partners within their community, they must abide by the terms of their license,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona. “ABC agents investigate licensees to improve safety and quality of life in neighborhoods and communities. I thank them for their service.”
