“Selling alcohol to those under 21 puts lives in danger. The consumption of that alcohol can lead to poor choices, poor judgement, DUI, assaults and death. That’s why ABC agents work year-round, day and night to enforce the law.” – CSLEA President Alan Barcelona
KERMAN – On March 25, 2022, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) announced it has revoked the alcoholic beverage license of the La Fiesta Market located at 307 South Madera Avenue in Kerman because the store sold alcohol three separate times to customers under the age of 21 in a three-year period.
ABC posted a Notice of Suspension after the store owner signed an agreement accepting the penalty of revocation, with revocation stayed for 180 days to allow for the transfer of the license to a new owner. Alcohol sales are prohibited until the license is transferred.
ABC opened an investigation at the store after it received a complaint that the market was selling alcohol to minors. Undercover ABC agents visited the location and issued citations for three separate sales of alcoholic beverages to minors.
