SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY – On September 127, 2022, California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) agents assisted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department at the Glen Helen Amphitheater during the Nocturnal Wonderland Electronic Dance Music Festival. The annual event is attended by more than 70,000 visitors over the course of four days.
ABC agents conducted enforcement related to minors consuming and/or in possession of alcohol, using fake IDs to obtain alcohol, and other underage drinking related encounters. Agents issued eight citations for minors in possession of alcohol, and one person was issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance.
During the weekend, sheriff’s deputies conducted the following enforcement activities and investigations:
PC 647F Drunk in Public– arrest
PC273.5 Spousal Abuse– arrest
PC 261 Rape – arrest
PC 488 Petty Theft– arrest
PC 243e1 Domestic Battery- arrest
In addition, onsite medical services evaluated and transported 11 people to local hospitals for further treatment. Two individuals who were transported were later pronounced deceased. Sheriff’s investigators are conducting investigations into each of the deaths.
