73 illegally possessed pistols, rifles and shotguns, over 25,000 rounds of ammunition and narcotics found in home
DAVIS – On September 10, 2024, Davis Police Department detectives, with the assistance of the Department of Justice Fentanyl Enforcement Program, served a search warrant in Suisun City. During the search, 73 illegally possessed pistols, rifles and shotguns, and over 25,000 rounds of ammunition were located inside of the residence, along with narcotics.
The search warrant was the result of contact Davis Police officers made with three subjects on August 8, 2024. Davis Police Officers performing extra patrols in the downtown parking garage at 101 F Street, contacted three subjects who were seen with open alcohol containers near a recently vandalized area. Subsequently, Chelsea Franklin, 28, of Dixon, was arrested for possession of fentanyl for sales, and possession of a loaded firearm, which she was prohibited from possessing.
Detectives were able to locate the subject who provided the firearm to Franklin and on September 10th served the search warrant in Suisun City.
Justin Sharp, 45, of Suisun City was placed under arrest for prohibited person in possession of firearms; prohibited person in possession of ammunition, selling/giving a firearm to a prohibited person; and possession of controlled substance. He was transported to and booked at the Solano County Jail.
