23 people arrested, 10 citations issued

REDDING – On August 20, 2025, the Redding Police Department Neighborhood Police Unit (NPU), in conjunction with agents from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control, conducted a specialized enforcement targeting retail theft throughout the Redding area.
During an 8-hour period, 23 people were arrested and 10 people were issued citations. Of the 23 arrests, 13 were for theft, six were for the possession of controlled substances, and the others were for outstanding warrants and local municipal code violations.
The Redding Police Department extended its appreciation to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for its assistance and partnership, which was instrumental in the success of this operation.
